26-year-old Sanjana Jatav won in Bharatpur, Rajasthan by defeating BJP’s Ramswaroop Koli by 51,983 votes. Married to police constable Kaptan Singh, Sanjana had barely lost in the 2023 assembly elections, but this time she won with an emphatic victory.
Pushpendra Saroj, representing the Samajwadi Party, has won in Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh. Another SP candidate Priya Saroj achieved her success from Machhlishahr. She defeated BJP MP Bhola Nath by 35,850 votes. Shambhavi Chaudhary of Lok Janata Dal (LJD) was victorious in Samastipur seat. She defeated Sunny Hazari of Congress.
