New Delhi-A 1989 batch IFS Vikram Misri has been appointed as the next Indian ambassador to China.He is presently Indian ambassador to Myanmar. He speaks English, Kashmiri and French.He would be taking over the responsibility from Gautam Bambawale, who retires this year.He is expected to take up the assignment shortly.Vikram Misri has previously served as Ambassador to Spain, Private Secretary to former PM Manmohan Singh and Private Secretary to PM Narendra Modi and in different capacities in Indian Missions in Europe, Africa, Asia and North America.
