Indian Railways is proposing to build a high speed mobile broadband corridor along its track to provide various facilities including internet facility to passengers.In order to identify suitable technology, Proof of Concept trials on three sections viz Mumbai -Ahmedabad, Chennai -Bengaluru and Delhi-Chandigarh are proposed to be carried out to see the efficacy of different technologies.Once the technology is identified, further decision will be taken to proliferate it.This information was given by the Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain in in Lok Sabha.
