Union Minister Suresh Prabhu strongly raised the issue of H-1B and L1 visas with the US.Mr Prabhu said the Indian side has explained to the United States that the issue is being raised not because Indians will find it difficult but US economy itself will find it difficult to cope with the reality. In the forum also attended by US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, Mr Prabhu said, the US has immensely benefited by IT professionals penetrating into the market by offering services that have improved their productivity.
