The “Bollywood Superstars” exhibition at the Branly Museum in Paris takes us into the fascinating world of Indian cinema, the world’s leading filmmaker. This art exhibition will provide visitors with an unprecedented experience complemented by rich content in understanding the historical depth, diversity and creativity of Indian cinema. This art exhibition will run from 26 September to 14 January 2024. The exhibition traces Indian cinema from its mythological and artistic sources going back more than a century to the symbols of the contemporary “star-system”.
The route of the exhibition begins with popular fiction arts. People can also enjoy Indian silent cinema here. An interlude dedicated to director Satyajit Ray and social cinema highlights the diversity of Indian cinema, which is far from being confined to the Bollywood industry.
