( By deepak Saxena ) The news of Dubai’s Avatara restaurant being awarded the coveted Michelin star guide- a recognition of fine cuisine – made headlines. The win was personal for Indians across the world. Dubai’s Avatara restaurant became the world’s first and only vegetarian Indian restaurant to offer the renowned Michelin French Guide fine dining experience 2023.
To be awarded a Michelin star, a restaurant is evaluated on the basis of five criteria. These include everything from the quality of ingredients, harmony of flavours and mastery of techniques, to the chef’s personality expressed through the food and consistency across the menu.
The brainchild of Chef Rahul Rana of Avatara restaurant, the restaurant infuses a hint of culture into every dish. The food here follows a quirky dynamic with simple ingredients, such as jackfruit momos, lotus roots and bitter gourd – offering a wonderful fine dining experience.
Inspired by the four corners of India, the 16 succulent vegetarian dishes on the menu will give you an unforgettable experience. The charming team at the restaurant will spend all their time telling you the story behind each dish. You will be surprised to know that none of the dishes contain garlic or onion. Located within the Dubai Hills Business Park, the restaurant offers a unique décor and is distinguished by its walls painted in a special shade of light green. There is a large counter, where the chefs put the finishing touches on the dishes.
