Waraich grew up in a remote village outside Punjab, where his grandmother taught him to cook. At Babuji the aim is to change people’s perception of Indian food and show that it is more than just curry and rice.
The term ‘babuji’ is used to show respect to your elders i.e. grandfather, father or government employee and is used at the beginning of every greeting. Babu Ji is a place of great respect and love. A lot of hard work has been put in to recreate the whole Babu Ji experience. People here genuinely enjoy the food and the hospitality.
