The first commercial flight from Noida International Airport will start on April 17 next year. This information was given by officials of Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL), the agency formed by the Uttar Pradesh government to monitor and oversee the progress of the greenfield international airport.

Noida International Airport will connect Greater Delhi and the western part of Uttar Pradesh to other cities in India and the world. Noida International Airport combines Indian culture and hospitality with Swiss efficiency to provide its passengers with a versatile experience and comprehensive commercial attractions and services. In the first phase, the airport will have one runway and one passenger terminal, with ten stands in the building and another 15 open stands, and will operate with a capacity of 12 million passengers per year. The concession for Noida International Airport began in 2021 and will last for 40 years.

Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL) was set up to develop, construct and operate Noida International Airport. The company is responsible for the implementation of the public-private partnership project in collaboration with the Government of Uttar Pradesh, New Okhla Industrial Development Authority and Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority. YIAPL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG (ZAIA). ZAIA develops and operates airports in Latin America, the Caribbean and India.
