The Indian capital Delhi has been ranked 350th in the Global Cities Index of Oxford Economics. The ranking compares the world’s 1000 largest cities based on parameters ranging from economics to human capital.
New York has been placed first in the ranking, followed by London, San Jose, Tokyo, Paris, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Melbourne and Zurich.
The names of many other Indian cities including Bengaluru, Mumbai and Chennai also figure in the list of 1000 largest cities of the world. But no city of India could find a place in the top 300 list. Delhi is the best performing Indian city in this list.
