Not only India, even America is relishing the taste of our desi dhaba culture as a large number of Punjabi dhabas have opened up on many American highways. Among them, Amar Singh’s desi dhaba known as “Chhota Punjab” or “Chhota Bharat” is very popular among the rooters.
Amar Singh’s Punjabi Dhaba is one of dozens of dhabas on America’s most traveled highways. Despite having no advertising, not even a signboard, Amar’s truck stop welcomes hundreds of hungry customers every day, only by word of mouth.

Hundreds of truck drivers have found solace at this diner, located at Truck Stop 40 and Exit 26 on Route 66 in western Oklahoma. The owner of the restaurant, Amar Singh, said that his dhaba is located right in the middle of the country. It is famous for serving home-made Indian dishes like saag, rajma, rajma, paratha and more.
