UK has announced to provide work visas to the graduates of world’s best universities including India. The objective of the scheme is to attract the “brightest and best” youth at the start of their careers. The plan has been described as an extension of Britain’s post-Brexit immigration system. Under this new visa scheme, graduates from the world’s top 50 non-UK universities will now have the opportunity to come and work in the UK via the HPI visa route. This scheme has been launched in London on 30th May. Indian-origin UK Finance Minister Rishi Sunak noted that such policies would give the country an opportunity to develop into an international hub for innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship.
