In a major boost to the states efforts of drawing in investments, after virtual agreement by Microsoft India Managing Director Rajiv Kumar that took place in a discussion with UP Minister Sidharth Nath Singh ,Microsoft is seriously considering to invest in Greater Noida region of the state. Microsoft agreed to bring its next campus of 4,000 employees there.
Microsoft has said that they want to move their North India campus to Greater Noida. The next step will be a site inspection by the team along Yamuna Expressway followed by their proposal which the government will examine, Sidharth Nath Singh said.
They already have two campuses of 5,000 and 2,000 capacities at its headquarters in Hyderabad and in Bengaluru.
UP plans to develop an electronics manufacturing park near Jewar International Airport along Yamuna Expressway connecting Greater Noida with Agra. The State Government is in touch with major IT companies to attract investment there.
