Myanmar born Vijay Rupani has been once again trusted to lead the government of Gujarat.He built his political career brick by brick from his home town Rajkot, beginning as a student activist of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. Rupani started his political career as a corporator in the Rajkot Municipal Corporation in 1987 and went on to become chairman of its standing committee.On August 7, 2016, He was sworn in as 16th Chief Minister of Gujarat succeeding Anandiben Patel.
