Microsoft Co Founder and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Co-Chair Bill Gates welcomed the progress made under India’s flagship initiative Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.He was having an exclusive conversation with Indian TV.Mr Gates said that he was excited to see the current Indian govt pick up sanitation as a priority. “For India to achieve its full potential and achieve rapid economic progress, it needs to make more progress in health and nutrition spheres,” Microsoft Co-Founder Bill Gates said.Microsoft Co Founder stressed on higher investment in health and education and assured continued support to India on major health issues.
“Higher Indian economic growth rate can be achieved only through higher investment in health and education. We will continue to work on major health issues in India,” Gates told to Indian TV.Gates also termed today’s kids as ‘lucky’ that they have internet connectivity and called on them to take advantage of it.(dd)
